About the project.

Slater and Gordon is Australia’s largest consumer law firm. To support their recent rebrand, Slater and Gordon wanted their website to work harder for leads and conversions from prospective clients around Australia.

Our pitch-winning solution took a customer-first approach to redesigning their digital experience. We built a new, responsive website that can support change as the firm grows and introduces new markets.

How we did it.

Customer first design

Our approach to redesigning the Slater and Gordon website was to create more intuitive user journeys. By investigating the mindset people are in when engaging various law services, we were able to create user profiles. It’s these profiles that informed our new information architecture and content planning.

This approach was extended to on the spot quotes for services such as conveyancing. Users are now presented with a redesigned form that is easier to understand and use – but still provides Slater and Gordon with a useful amount of data to provide an accurate quote.

A redesign to support Slater and Gordon’s rebrand created a brighter look and feel for the site. While redeveloping the site to responsive design has made life a lot easier for those visiting from tablets or mobiles. It’s these important changes combined with the newly structured IA and UX that have increased both leads and conversions.

Robust hosting

Re-platforming the Slater and Gordon website meant we needed to make sure it had a robust, stable environment to run in. Our team provided investigation, research and recommendations as well as advice, support and set-up in the new Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting environment.

The move to AWS hosting ensured a scalable solution for Slater and Gordon in coming years and means the site is now better equipped to cope with visitor peaks created by advertising campaigns.

Scalable CMS

Our development team chose to re-platform Slater and Gordon on Drupal. This ensured a CMS solution that was powerful, flexible and scalable enough to meet the firm’s evolving needs.

Location-based information

The creation of an advanced geo IP targeting tool means visitors to the Slater and Gordon site can now be provided with accurate material for their location. This increases the amount of information and services (e.g. quoting) that can be provided, without compromising the very strict limitations of state-based advertising legislation.
